James Purefoy
Reviews Featuring James Purefoy
This is a workmanlike sci-fi shocker that will most please adolescents and some fans of the genre. Others are likely to find it exciting but not outstanding, although the music from the film does raise it above the ordinary the score lifts this films mark from a 6 to a 7.
This is a workmanlike slasher film with a fair amount of blood and guts, a creepy killer, some atmosphere, and decent use of its location, but without that something special to make it really stand out.
Maybe not.
The cast-list might suggest otherwise, but this utterly forgettable costume drama really is one you should make a point of missing.
To be taken with a large pinch of salt, Solomon Kane is a generally enjoyable yet ultimately flawed fantasy adventure.
A Medieval take on The Expendables that nearly exceeds it's relatively modest budget. Fun for a while but gets monotonous and dreary as it crawls to a climax.
Andrew Stanton's disappointing sci-fi epic is all style and no substance. Teenage boys are better off playing a video game whereas female admirers of the male form should just flick through a guy's underwear catalogue instead.
