Jamie Lee Curtis
Reviews Featuring Jamie Lee Curtis
Brilliant cast, brilliant script, brilliant direction. Just brilliant.
This is a simple yet intelligent comedy with some good qualities, but it takes its time to get going.
A rare chance to see some of the USs better comedy performers, each of them on top form, thrown together in one very funny and entertaining movie.
Where many of its nastier, bloodier copycats have long since been carved and diced from our memory, John Carpenter's low-budget, genre-defining excursion into the slasher film's virgin territories is still very much alive and freshly frightening today. A monument to Hitchcockian suspense, it brings terror out of the gothic castle and into the suburban streets and homes where it belongs. A classic slicing of American life.
Probably the best body-swap comedy since 'Big', and it certainly wipes the floor with the dismal 'The Hot Chick' from earlier this year.
Hold onto that admission money and go spend it on a pressie for a loved one. Or, at the very least, spend it on seeing a decent movie.
