It has become something of a truism that video games - even good ones - do not adapt well to film, as cinema is an essentially passive medium where the joystick is replaced with the popcorn bucket. On the other hand, films ABOUT video games can often be excellent ('Existenz', 'Avalon',

It's Got: Short-skirted heroines, fights in churches and cemeteries, zombie children (à la 'Dawn of the Dead'), corporate paranoia, social satire, nuclear explosions, and every horror fan's favourite line: "we're going to have to split up to search this place".

It Needs: To be gorier - this is, after all, a zombie movie.

Alternatives: Resident Evil, 'Braindead', 'House of the Dead', 28 Days Later…

Summary: A true guilty pleasure - as braindead as a zombie, but much faster moving. Overall Score: 6 out of 10

i just saw the dvd few days back and it was quite dissapointing. the first movie was better than this .Even though there were loads
of zombies and other stuff it didn't seem much like a horror movie.

Well being a hard core fan of all the R.E. games and beating them all and then awaiting the movies ... i would have to say i loved them. i thought they could have done a little better with the firts movie, but hey, it still made sence in the long run. the second one though took my breath when nemises showed his awesomely ungly face on the big screen. and they way they had him say "STARS" was incredable. i cant wait to see whats next!
