Robert Forster
Reviews Featuring Robert Forster
Cheerful but unremarkable orphan-makes-good comedy this one may keep the kids amused but is hardly a classic of the genre.
Atmospheric sci-fi, but with poor special effects and a more adult theme that sits uncomfortably with the Disney style.
A good con film, but unfortunately in a world full of great ones. Worth, however, seeing more than once, which cannot be said of a lot of other films.
An incredible true story unnecessarily embellished with banal fictitious details. Michael Shannon's performance as Larry Oster-Berg, some funny lines, and a great basic premise keep it moving along the road, but it needs a much better script to provide the right directions.
An immigrant saga of family, blood and assimilation that just happens to be set in the world of the yakuza.
Hardly terrible, but given the long line of werewolf movies that it references, 'Cursed' cannot help but seem the runt of the pack.
The Descendants is a bittersweet tale of a family sticking together in trying times. With the perfect mix of grief, humour and charm this is the best thing to come out of Hawaii since Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Still recovering from the mild stroke I suffered whilst watching this very complex thriller from master-of-that-kind-of-thing David Lynch. An excellent movie if you give it your full attention.
