Billy Bob Thornton
Reviews Featuring Billy Bob Thornton
This is a simple yet intelligent comedy with some good qualities, but it takes its time to get going.
A break from the norm for the Coen boys, but this so-so attempt at an old-school screwballer only just manages pass marks.
The Coen brothers are capable of better, but when it takes other Hollywood competition to court, 'Intolerable Cruelty' comes out with the winning verdict. Mainstream enough to get a general audience, quirky enough to keep fans of 'Raising Arizona' and 'The Big Lebowski' smiling.
Plenty of people will love this film (you know who you are), but personally I couldnt wait to escape the theatre by the time the full 135 minutes had been wrung dry.
Oliver Stone confusing a u-turn with going endlessly round and round in circles.
Its about neither monsters nor a ball but its worth a look if you fancy a bit of good old fashioned wretchedness.
The Ala-slow, more like.
Hilariously irreverent antidote to a cloying Christmas.
This American Football yarn contains lots of gutsy manly conversations about the apparent philosophies behind winning and losing, but the only real loser here is the viewer.
One of the best action movies Ive seen in a while, Eagle Eye offers all you wantgreat effects, solid story, and a healthy dose of paranoia.
A surprisingly decent, if not consistently funny, spin off from the Shrek series. Definitely better than expected, mostly thanks to a short and sweet runtime and great voiceover cast. Probably a success because Mike Myers is nowhere near it.
Princess Mononoke is accessible anime close to its best, A multi-layered, interesting storyline and a measured mix of action, plot and the weird spiritual stuff make it a winner.
