Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
One big self-referential mess, created entirely for visual effect at the total expense of plot, entertainment value and wit.
Hard as it is to care about these homicidal homemakers, it is harder still to laugh at them.
Controversy, biting satire and shocking violence all sit comfortably together to leave the money-obsessed American Dream of the Eighties in tatters. American Psycho is also the film that catapulted Christian Bale into the A-list from where he's never looked back.
Still recovering from the mild stroke I suffered whilst watching this very complex thriller from master-of-that-kind-of-thing David Lynch. An excellent movie if you give it your full attention.
