Daniel Craig
Reviews Featuring Daniel Craig
Excellent performances, wonderful cinematography, observant direction, its 'pseudo-film noir feel, and a great soundtrack combine to make this one of the best films of recent years. This is a gangster film that can make you cry, but dont bother watching if youre just looking for a traditional gangster shoot-em-up because youll be disappointed this story of relationships runs much deeper than that.
Potty-level action flick. Call me old fashioned, but I'm sticking to Indiana Jones.
'The Mother' is a nicely shot drama with a strong central performance, but despite its attempts to shock with some frank sexual scenes, there is something a little banal about the whole exercise. Why go to the cinema to see something that feels so much like a telemovie?
Its hard to do poetic justice to the life of a literary great when youre not allowed to use any poetry.
Make sure you grab a slice of the cake.
Give it ten out of 10 for effort, boldness, and even originality but half-marks at best for the acutely unconvincing way it all comes together.
A tale of obsession with less hot air than your average thriller.
Daniel Craig is this generations James Bond, and this spy story of how 007 got his license to kill gives us all the action, romance, and kick-ass chase scenes that we can handle.
Ultimately soulless and devoid of any of the laughs that could have saved it, Cowboys and Aliens has an interesting idea but is poorly executed by Favreau. Didn't make me Yee-ha once - so disappointed.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn
The uncanny valley effect strikes again as a largely good film is ruined by freaky animation that's more unnerving than any horror.
Quantum of Solace fails to live up to the potential of Daniel Craig's first outing and is so depressing that afterwards you may want to drown kittens for a bit of light relief.
Craig and Mendes put in an above average turn in the Bond series. Some great action sequences sit uneasily next to some extremely mediocre ones but the story and the fascinating bunch of characters keep things interesting.
