The important thing to know about sequels is that they are generally rubbish. Final Destination fits firmly into that mould and does nothing to bring down the walls of mediocrity.
If you've seen the first movie, you've already seen everything Final Destination has to offer, only it was slicker, better and relatively original in the first movie. Final Destination did well at the box office, so obviously, a sequel was planned, regardless of whether it was a good idea or not.
It's one year on from the Flight 180 disaster and Clear Rivers (Larter) is the only lasting survivor of the original group. Now safely locked away in a padded cell for her own protection, she is visited by Kimberley Corman (Cook) who has experienced a gory premonition of her own death in a road pile up.
Realising that she has somehow evaded death's plan, she gathers those she has 'saved' from disaster by avoiding the pile up, and together, they try to stay alive.
You'd think that after millions of years, death would use some deep and mystical means of killing his victims. But nope: Death by pidgeon, elevator and emergency escape ladder are some of the clever original ways death uses to slay those who have evaded his clutches.
As this group of ridiculous characters tries to cheat death using Cook's powers of premonition, the body count is mounting and the hysteria rising. I imagine the script writers laughed raucously at some of the deaths, thinking they were very clever indeed.
But Final Destination 2 is not a horror film. It's just not scary. It's not even jumpy. It's just a long stream of gruesome deaths at the hands of all manner of mundane household appliances.

Summary
Bland. Absolutely nothing new or interesting. Dreary thrills and pointless gore. Bad acting from the relative unknowns and a terrible plot that had seen better days in the first movie. Let's just pray there wont a sequel and this hackneyed series has reached its final destination.
