Ignore the title and tell everyone about this latest engrossing thriller from ze French.
Crime
Taxi Driver
It’s got gritty realism, iconic lines and Robert De Niro at his very best. If you haven’t seen this yet, I’m very disappointed in you. Tssk.
La Haine
A quality character driven exploration of class and race divisions in a Parisian ‘ghetto’ with three excellent lead performances and an interesting story. Undoubtedly, the best thing to come out of France since Emmanuelle.
American Psycho
Controversy, biting satire and shocking violence all sit comfortably together to leave the money-obsessed American Dream of the Eighties in tatters. American Psycho is also the film that catapulted Christian Bale into the A-list from where he’s never looked back.
The Tourist
Beautiful people, beautiful location, decent story and a few niggles.
London Boulevard
Having a better cast than usual doesn’t stop this effort descending into stereotypical cockney gangster rubbish. Stay away from this, you c–t.
