A fantastic tale of a group of juvenile prisoners driven to revolution by an unfair, abusive system. Brutally realistic and well-acted with beautifully stark cinematography. Possibly even a match for The Shawshank Redemption.

The Skin I Live In
The Skin I Live In might not be Pedro Almodavar’s best but it’s certainly a dark and delightful watch that provides surprises and stylish cinematography. It’s also got Antonio Banderas in excellent form.
As If I Am Not There
A harrowing tale from the human side of the Bosnian War in the Nineties that is well-acted and excellently-directed. Moving, haunting, disturbing but also a must see.
Once
Too much of a good thing makes Once a dull boy. Contrary to the opinion of the world, this modern musical starts off sound enough before falling into schmaltzy repetition.
The Artist
The Artist is a talkie life-lesson with some of the best dialogue ever heard on screen. A must see for all fans of Dawson’s Creek. Honest.
Leningrad Cowboys Go America
One of the best spoof musicals ever and it comes from Finland. Leningrad Cowboys Go America is a great take on the American Dream with plenty of amusing moments and a wonderful style.
