A moving, deeply personal tale of illegal aliens, extraterrestrials, and learning to say goodbye.
Drama
The Time of the Wolf
With neither science-fiction nor action elements, the dystopian world presented by 'The Time of the Wolf', for all its disrupted services, isolation and anarchy, is otherwise uncomfortably close to our own world today, and exposes the darker side of our humanity. Confronting, austere, and with a fireside climax that represents the grimmest brand of optimism, this is a poetic vision of society stopped dead in its tracks.
25th Hour
In the hands of another director it may well have come across as melodramatic or preachy, but under the Spikester it pretty much works. Give this one a go if youre looking for something a bit different.
Infernal Affairs
Whether it's a morality tale doing undercover work as a thriller, or vice versa, 'Infernal Affairs' is furiously paced, full of drama, and as tense as elevator cable. Highly recommended.
Biker Boyz
A film with no more right to public consumption than a four-year-old steak pie. And its twice as stinky.
Changing Lanes
The viewer is drawn into the interplay between these two different lives.
