Puppet bats, pointy teeth, creaking doors, dripping blood, heaving ladychests, David “Green Cross Code” Prowse its all here. Just make sure youre armed with a crucifix and some garlic. And maybe some popcorn.
Reviews
Mystic River
A solid and powerful drama thatll leave you thinking after youve left the theatre. How memorable itll be in years to come is open to question, but for now its a film to be savoured.
The Cremaster Cycle
While definitely not your average night out at the cinema, Matthew Barney's five-part 'Cremaster Cycle' is a work of rare beauty and great wonder, making a unique viewing experience that is not easily forgotten – although be warned that less patient viewers may find that it is not fondly remembered either.
Intolerable Cruelty
A break from the norm for the Coen boys, but this so-so attempt at an old-school screwballer only just manages pass marks.
Scars Of Dracula
The definitive Count Dracula in an entertaining – if dated – bloodfest. Batty good fun.
Ali G Indahouse
Youll laugh here and there, but this is far from Ali G at his best. Pick up some of his early TV stuff if you can, but this is a film best left on the shelf.
