Poignant, intelligent and beautifully minimalist, Hanecke pulls off another of his deep open-ended masterpieces. As to be expected though , it’s none to cheery.
Mystery
Tell No One
Ignore the title and tell everyone about this latest engrossing thriller from ze French.
Sunshine
Looks and sounds fabulous but gets a little bit silly in the end.
Red Eye
A rare turkey for Cillian Murphy as Wes Craven flounders in his first exploration into thriller territory. Bog standard at best.
The Tourist
Beautiful people, beautiful location, decent story and a few niggles.
The Big Lebowski
An excellent stoner comedy with the right mix of brains, laughs and memorable characters. The Coen Brothers’ finest? It’s a close one.
