Despite parts of the movie not sitting at all well with Haynes' intended period recreation, Far From Heaven undeniably takes a fascinating look at American racism (and, to a lesser extent, homophobia) which is as relevant today as it was in the 50s.
Reviews
Final Destination 2
Bland. Absolutely nothing new or interesting. Dreary thrills and pointless gore. Bad acting from the relative unknowns and a terrible plot that had seen better days in the first movie. Let's just pray there wont a sequel and this hackneyed series has reached its final destination.
Gangs of New York
Good. Gangs of New York is like a really good looking (but boring) date. You hope there's some sugar waiting for you if you persevere, but you've got to get through three hours of monotony before you reach it. And like a boring date, there's not enough substance here to bring you back for a repeat performance.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
A rollicking family adventure that will please parents as much as children, although the 'slug vomiting scenes may be a bit much for the younger or more sensitive ones.
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days
Poorly-scripted below average rom-com.
I Spy
I Spy with my little eye something beginning with “D”. “Distinctly average movie”.
