Thriller

Alien3

August 21, 2003 by Gary Panton

Marvellously directed and well-acted, but a dirty and wholly unrewarding experience, containing major plot-holes thanks to a complete disregard of what went on in the previous movie.

Freddy vs. Jason

August 18, 2003 by Movie Gazette

With the exception of 'Jason X' and 'New Nightmare', this is probably the best sequel in either franchise. Very gory, very knowing, and very funny.

Red Planet

August 14, 2003 by Gary Panton

Humourless, predictable and wholly unentertaining. If it’s a trip to Mars you’re after, rent ‘Total Recall’ instead. At least that’s got Arnie in it.

Alien

August 13, 2003 by Gary Panton

Predator 2

August 9, 2003 by Gary Panton

The Omega Man

August 9, 2003 by Gary Panton

Perhaps a serious production at the time, but nowadays only worth watching if you’re in need of a good laugh. This one’s hilariously bad.
