Halloween

Zombie has shown he knows how to do his own horror right, but he should have left the classic alone; the movie ultimately fails due to the fact that it tries to justify Michael Myers by making him nothing more than a sad little boy who grew up bad.

Saw III

Better than its predecessor, Saw III still doesn’t capture the dread of the original, but it comes close.

The House Bunny

It’s a throwback to 80s sorority underdogs comedy, but it’s lighthearted and fun, and Anna Faris has some genuine comic chops.

X-Files: I Want To Believe

Chris Carter should’ve known better, and yet, here it is, a movie from the man who created a classic TV show that is not even as good as the worst of its episodes.

The Uninvited

Not bad if you saw it on TV, this remake of the much stronger A Tale of Two Sisters lacks any real boo factor and is, in the end, not very memorable.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Funny in parts, uncomfortable in others, this tale of man-dumped-by-TV-star girlfriend-goes-to-Hawaii could’ve been so much better.

Eagle Eye

One of the best action movies I’ve seen in a while, Eagle Eye offers all you want—great effects, solid story, and a healthy dose of paranoia.

The Love Guru

I don’t know what Mike Myers has on Ben Kingsley to get him to even watch this movie, let alone be in it, but no amount of blackmail can be worth this disaster. Run away. Just … run away.

Gran Torino

A must-see movie, even the flaws in this film can’t detract from the brilliant performance of its director and star, Clint Eastwood.

Enchanted

More than just a princess flick, Enchanted takes all the best parts of the fairytale world and comes up with a clever and completely entertaining addition to the world of Disney heroines.
