A low-key but surprisingly entertaining little film that even gives us a new genre: mafia whimsy.
Fantasy
Good Boy!
An ever-so-slightly feeble fam-com to end the year on a bit of a dull note.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Quite possibly the best movie ever made.
Freaky Friday
Probably the best body-swap comedy since 'Big', and it certainly wipes the floor with the dismal 'The Hot Chick' from earlier this year.
Timeline
A promising concept squandered by bad writing and lacklustre direction – its events, whether set in the 14th Century or in the present day, are an unengaging waste of time.
Brother Bear
The best thing about it is probably that its instantly forgettable. This is probably the most completely average film of the year.
