Bambi

One of Disney’s most en-DEERing movies (arf!).

Vanity Fair

The cast-list might suggest otherwise, but this utterly forgettable costume drama really is one you should make a point of missing.

Osmosis Jones

This fast, sharp, mucous-coated comedy is definitely entertainment that’s not to be sneezed at.

The Raspberry Reich

A painful combination of gay German porn and particularly bad amateur dramatics, this is easily one of the worst films of 2004.

Raise Your Voice

If you are going to “raise your voice” whilst watching this film, might I suggest using the words “this is crap”? For added effect, you might like to accompany that action with lobbing bricks at the screen.

Spanglish

This engrossing, dialogue-driven piece of work features brilliant performances all round – and could just as easily have been titled ‘Lost In Translation’, had Sofia Coppola not gotten there first.

Sixteen Years of Alcohol

‘A Clockwork Orange’ meets ‘Trainspotting’ meets an episode of the Scots sketch show ‘Chewin the Fat’ in this tremendously performed but poorly thought-out Richard Jobson gloom-fest.

In Good Company

Please, please, please don’t let the grossly misleading trailers put you off – this isn’t a forgettable rom-com, but a wonderfully observed comedy drama. One of the most enjoyable flicks – and biggest surprises – of the year.

Are We There Yet?

This is one family road trip that’ll make you wish you’d stayed at home.

Get Shorty

A great crime caper – that’s the long and the short of it. Well, the short at least.
