Measured storytelling, comprehensive characterisation and a number of hard-to-spot plot twists, should make this perfectly crafted crime thriller Sweden’s best export since Ikea.
Green Zone
Greengrass and Damon deliver enough intrigue and full blooded action to satisfy fans of the Bourne series but they fail to create three-dimensional characters or add anything substantial to the genre.
Children of Men
With an involving story, realistic setting and well executed action scenes, Children of Men is one of the best Dystopian movies out there.
Alice in Wonderland
Tim Burton’s rehash boasts a cast that lives up to its billing, a lavishly recreated Wonderland and lovely flashes of humour, it’s just a shame that Alice in Wonderland is a little formulaic in the end.
Crash
Deserving of the praise lavished upon it, Crash’s excellent cast of unknowns and A-Listers deliver a thought provoking depiction of the racial fabric of modern day America.
The Crazies
A lot better than the title would have you believe, this superior remake has the right amount of substance and chills.
