The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Breathtaking. Gorgeous locations, good (if not great) dialogue and some fantastic battle scenes. As always Gandalf (McKellan) is outstanding, as are the performances generally enhanced from the first movie. The ents don’t fail to disappoint, although I would have liked to have seen a lot more time devoted to them.

The Transporter

Average. Only Statham keeps this film alive with his square-jawed looks and almost irreverent expressions. If you like action movies (and in particular martial arts movies) go see this.

Star Trek: Nemesis

Dismal. It appears the even numbered Star Trek Magic failed on this occasion. There are faster and better movies to see at the moment than this ill-created sci-fi flick. If you're expecting a Star Trek action movie with phasers, explosions and starship battles, then you won’t be unhappy. If you’re looking for something deeper with any kind of substance, then you can look to almost any other film to find it.

Spider-Man

February 5, 2003 by Movie Gazette

A breathtaking action-packed and faithful look into the world of Spiderman, an excellent collection to any DVD and great fun for children and big kids everywhere. Spiderman took over $1 billion at the box office. If that's not enough of a recommendation, go out and buy/rent this DvD right now.

Narc

An overly loud movie that didn’t make much sense. Violent and nasty, it deals with the darker side of life, perhaps a side that’s best left buried.
