An interesting story that doesn’t really deliver on its potential, this one may get in on the big vampire train making its way through pop culture, but its inability to find itself is disappointing.
Pandorum
Nothing we haven’t seen before, Pandorum is still a suspenseful take on the “lost in space” theme that sci-fi fans will enjoy.
Fame
There’s just no reason to recommend this plot-free, bland, choppy musical that may one day be the most embarrassing listing on some of its cast’s resumes.
The Informant!
Often funny and always well-acted, it’s sometimes a bit inconsistent, but still proof that Matt Damon can handle just about anything.
Beowulf
This was never going to be a classic but it’s got a timeless story, great animation and is a fun watch to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Where the Wild Things Are
Not quite a kids’ movie, but not exactly for adults either, this little boy and his monster friends are surprisingly melancholy, interspersed with some subtle humor, in a film that’s interesting but lacks some inexplicable spark.
