Super Troopers

A very raunchy but surprisingly worthy comedy. This one is better not watched in the presence of people who might be easily offended.

Jason X

There is little that is new in the movie and you always know what’s coming, but that’s not really the point with the films in this series. Slasher movie fans are likely to turn it into a cult classic anyway.

Traffic

An interesting film that slowly draws you into the story until you are committed to the characters. Well worth a look.

Monsters, Inc.

This is a great fun film that will please adults as much as children and is just as entertaining on repeat viewings – in fact, it seems even better the second time around.

Cats & Dogs

A fine fun family movie that will entertain parents and children alike – a kind of James Bond for animal lovers.

Unfaithful

This is a workmanlike erotic thriller with some tension and a fair few effective moments but not many surprises. The strong cast are the main reason it rises above being merely average.

Baise-Moi

This is a shocking, explicit and violent but decent thriller considering its humble origins, recommended for those adults with the stomach for it. It’s not for those who don’t want to see the real sex act on screen.

Das Boot

A tense and timeless masterpiece that is thoroughly gripping and will appeal to a much broader audience than might first seem the case – it’s already considered a classic.

I Fought the Law

While not a work of brilliance, there are enough thrills combined with humorous moments to make this film worth watching for the entertainment value.

The Brave

This is a moderately successful drama with plenty of tension, which is worth watching if only to find out how it ends.
