Robert Connelly does a great job to get the feel of the time across in this nicely low budget, understated thriller set during Indonesia’s controversial invasion of East Timor.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
An expected minor letdown as the first part shows that Peter Jackson should have just stuck to one (or two at most) epic length movies not three. Not bad but a little underwhelming.
Death Note
Get past the weird stuff and you’ve got an interesting thriller from Japan.
Alex Cross
Morgan Freeman is just one thing of many that this amateurish thriller needs to be in any way engaging. Poor.
The Tournament
Scott Mann brings us an alcoholic priest, master of free running and triad assassin in a fairly unoriginal but enjoyable action movie set in the most unlikely of places.
Stormland
Stormland is a decent recession era tragicomedy from Iceland. Watch for lashings of bleak landscapes, one of the best characters to come out of Northern Europe and a horse called Nietzsche.
