Freight is notable mainly for the fact that it’s only the second ever film I’ve seen set in my unremarkable home town of Leeds. After getting over this shock I was just treated to clichés, a poorly thought out storyline and dialogue and a little bit of serviceable action.

This British druglord biopic gives Howard Marks the complete luvvy-duvvy treatment and offers absolutely nothing new but Mr. Nice has an interesting enough story to entertain throughout.

Who would have thought that watching Ryan Reynolds in a coffin for ninety minutes would be well-acted and tension-filled but Cortés manages it. Now for Adam Sandler in a coffin, minus the camera.

Alfredson’s effort is too disjointed and just doesn’t give enough shared screentime to the charismatic leads to get even close to the awesome The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Shame.

In my opinion, this is the best and most iconic war film to date. It’s packed with thrilling action, memorable characters and a refreshing dose of surealism and madness that make it slightly different from the rest. Apocalypse Wow more like.

Read all about it – Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren in poor acting shocker! As was always going to be the case, bags of testosterone filled action rescues The Expendables from being plain awful and makes it a fun watch instead.
