Speed

The acting and script are less than impressive, but for sheer entertainment 'Speed' packs a fantastic punch.

The Cable Guy

Not your average Jim Carrey outing, but certainly one of his better ones. Just don't be misled by the “12” classification – this is a bit of a chiller and isn't for the kiddies.

The Transporter

Flawed but exciting actioner with particularly outstanding car chase and fight sequences.

Sleeping with the Enemy

This 'abused wife becomes empowered woman' film has potential, but after a good start it never manages to examine the subject to the depth it deserves.

JFK

Not only an important film that raises some significant questions, but an interesting one that holds audience attention throughout.

Changing Lanes

A gripping thriller full of twists and turns that holds an audience's attention right up until the end.

Basic

A disappointing military mystery that doesn't possess half the intelligence it clearly aspires to.

Identity

An impressive, well-acted horror mystery with a superbly-woven plot device. It’ll get you thinking, that’s for sure.

Irreversible

An important and impressive film – although not perfect, it is going to influence cinema for many years to come.

Cavale

A compelling noir tragedy spun out of one man's heroic intransigence. Recommended even if you have no intention of seeing the other films in 'La Trilogie'.
