Drag Me to Hell

Sometimes funny, often scary, Drag Me To Hell is exactly what a horror gal likes in her movies—blood, goats, bugs, and people I don’t want to see die.

Angels & Demons

Angels and Demons is an overlong, uninteresting affair which doesn’t live up to the blockbuster tag. Then again, it is not the worst film you could see this summer.

My Bloody Valentine

There’s nothing new here as far as slasher flicks go, but the 3D twist at least adds a bit more value to your movie ticket dollar.

Casino Royale

Daniel Craig is this generation’s James Bond, and this spy story of how 007 got his license to kill gives us all the action, romance, and kick-ass chase scenes that we can handle.

Body of Lies

Ridley Scott plus Russell Crowe plus Leonardo DiCaprio plus political intrigue and action equal a thoroughly engaging thriller that will hopefully find more success on DVD than it did in theaters.

Watchmen

The director of 300 has once again taken a classic graphic novel and brought it to the big screen with obvious affection, and while that sometimes makes this a little too literal of an adaptation, it’s still full of truly special effects and “super” performances.

Valkyrie

Sure, you know what didn’t happen, but Valkyrie is still surprisingly suspenseful, boasts some great acting, and still manages to provide an interesting history lesson.

In Bruges

One of the best films of the year that a lot of people still haven’t seen, this tale of two hit men trying to be tourists is a dark comedy of the darkest variety.

Max Payne

Simply giving a guy a sad back-story doesn’t make him an interesting character, especially in a slow action movie where the action is dull and the story stops mattering five minutes in.

Twilight

It sucked me in more than I thought it would, and for fans of the epic tragedy of melodramatic human/vampire love, this is a film for you.
